Mission:
Reconstruction and Refocus
Location: Lounge
With the success of the grand opening it was time for Pim to sell it to the captain that they were the team to keep the lounge running smoothly. Pim hated this she could do it she just hated it sitting at one of the booths looking over inventory and the books. Her hood was up making sure that none of the wait staff would bother her which didn't last long. "Err....ma ma'am um.....a captain Coo is here."
Sighing Pim looked and just nodded as the waiter walked back to where the captain was. "Um....sir if you would follow me." The waiter said leading him over to where Pim was. MK was behind the bar keeping an eye on things praying that Pim wouldn't screw this up.
Rozen had enjoyed the 'opening' night of the lounge. The next morning he found a hand written card thanking him for his attendance. Included in a post script was a request to speak with the Captain at his convenience, signed Pim. Rozen chuckled to himself, and was always impressed to see a proprietor go the extra mile and hand write a request.
Rozen straightened his uniform with a quick downward tug, as he stepped into the lounge. After a bit of dialog, Rozen stood before Pim sitting at a table in a corner of the establishment. "Ms. Pim, a pleasure to see you."
Pim looked realizing who did this. "Captain." She said barely over a whisper and not looking up.
{Shit.} MK thought as she watched the two. Quickly walking out from behind the bar and walked up to them. "Anything to drink you two?" She asked with a smiling face.
"Just a glass of water, cold, please," replied Rozen taking a seat with a warm smile to the barmaid.
Pim just shook her head. MK nodded for one of the waiters to get the water before she bent down and whispered into her ear. "Be nice we need this." Pim grimaced but nodded.
".....so......did everything.......umm go okay?" Pim finally spit it out.
"Did what go 'okay'?" asked Rozen playing coy. Rozen knew she was hoping to land the lease for the Lounge. Rozen had the power to grant and dissolve those contracts.
".....the damn.....err the grand opening." Pim said trying but failing utterly at keeping her cool.
"Oh, well of course. The event was a grand success from my stand point. Or seated position, over there in fact," he said pointing vaguely at the other side of the establishment. "How did things go for you and yours? Looked quite busy?"
"Busy enough. It just needs to be this busy enough for this work for us." Pim said looking at the captain. ".....I am surprised that you are allowing actual booze on your ship."
"I am surprised so many of my fine officers smuggled it aboard," admitted Rozen. "However, the occasional indulgence is alright, but mark my words, the first person to show any signs of real drunkenness outside of this establishment will have the book thrown at them, and your real liquor stash raided and disposed of."
Pim fought her instinct of a) being a bitch and b) laughing in his face he thought his security goons could find her stash of supplies. "Of course." Picking up a PADD she handed it to the man. "Schedule for when we are open and closed."
Rozen glanced at the PADD. "This seems reasonable to me," he said looking back to Pim steely-eyed. "So what brings you to us here on the Enterprise Pim? Where about were you before this?"
Inwardly sighing Pim went back to her bookkeeping as she spoke. "Wherever they needed someone with my expertise."
"Not a very direct answer," replied Rozen coolly.
"Does it matter where I was before this or even why we asked for this contract?" Pim asked still looking over her books.
"I would prefer someone who is interested in providing a safe and healthy environment for my officers to unwind, not looking to make a quick buck off of the 885 Starfleet Officers on this vessel with only one lounge to get a drink in," replied Rozen.
Rummaging through the stack of PaDDs before finding the right one. "Take a look at this. This is every place I have worked before here. As you can see all of them were long-term contracts and I served them all. Only time I left was when a better opportunity or contract was available. I don't believe in the concept of a 'quick buck'." Pim said glaring at the captain.
Rozen looked over the PaDD, exactly what he wanted to see. He wanted to know that her intentions were pure. "Approved," Rozen said with no real context and not looking to Pim, but continuing to look at the PaDD.
"Good. Now if you excuse me I have a business to run." Standing up she looked at MK and pointed to her office.
