| Personal History | Born in 2391 to Canadian parents, Alex grew up with your typical vanilla childhood. He was the youngest of five children, and all was well until Alex was 10 and his entire family went on vacation to Risa. On the way, their ship was boarded by Orion slave traders and his entire family was either taken or killed. Young Alex only escaped because he had been curled up inside a shielded bulkhead, hiding. He was rescued shortly after by Starfleet and raised by his grandparents through adolescence. Starfleet gave up the search for the Rymer family after six months, and now ten years later Alex still has no clue what actually happened to his family, nor does he enjoy talking about it. Alex joined Starfleet the day he came of age, specializing in phaser marksmanship and investigation techniques. |
