Jackson Avery was one of the few civilian specialists on the Enterprise, his speciality was cardiology and general surgery. And one of few people that hit it off with Nanee right away, his dry wit and good looks definitely helped him hit it off with chief. "Mornin' boss." Jackson said giving Nanee a smirk as he took a seat across from her.

Nanee just shook her head watching the cocky young Human-Betazoid halfbreed take a seat in her office, "have you ever heard about boundaries?"

Jackson just smirked, "I have, I tend to not bother with them they're just a big time waster in my opinion."

"What do you want Jackson?" Nanee said as she looked over the shift rotation for the next month. Her clerical physician mate was still needing some 'work'.

"Nothing," Jackson sighed as he looked around the office which was still barren since the former chief got kidnapped, "I need some entertainment, or to cut!" Jackson said his eyes lighting up looking at Nanee hoping that she had someone who needed surgery.

Nanee looked up and smirked, "you surgeons are the worst, always needing attention and to cut. To be honest I don't know why we need a cardio specialist."

Jackson just shrugged, "but to be honest your lucky that I was here, especially with what happened to the former chief," Jackson just shook his head, "that was a mess and from what I hear truly and completely avoidable."

Nanee sighed, "agreed but certain people are very book smart but when it comes to common sense not all of us are gifted with that particular set of skills." Nanee added closing that window deciding to work on it later.

Jackson just smirked at that comment, "so any of new cadets show any promise?"

"One maybe, but leave him be I don't want him like you. One of you is bad enough." Nanee said giving him a wink, "and if your so damn bored and need to cut someone, use the simulators or better yet teach some of the other doctors on general surgeries."

"Nah teaching is boring as all hell and those damn simulators are anywhere near the real thing." Jackson said shaking his head, "guess I should figure out something to do and let you get back to work."

"Much appreciated." Nanee smirked as she shook her head, "and maybe you want to re-think how to appreciate and understand the reasoning behind boundaries." The only thing that could be heard was Jackson's deep roar of laughter.
