Mission: Suicidal Running Title
Timeline: After Briefing & Scarlet/Tierney, before away team to the station.

After the briefing and chat with Tierney, Scarlet returned to the Medical Bay. As she walked down the corridors she recalled the night before's events. Thelin saying 'I love you' was a big thing. She smiled to herself like a little girl, still blushing at the memory, like it had only happened a few seconds ago. She still feared the events of a mere few hours ago, but at least her nose had stopped bleeding and there was nothing a bit of make-up couldn't cover up. Her uniform now had dried blood stains on, but she didn't care to much at this second. She just wanted to finish what was left of her shift before going on the away mission. Between the crowds in the corridor Thelin suddenly appeared in front of her, clearly somewhat flustered, "Thelin?"

Having finished the meeting with the Captain, Thelin was looking for the young woman who had just called his name, he'd been discussing their relationship and had cleared everything with Rhodes, "How's your nose feeling?"

"Blue," Scarlet said bluntly, "No pun or offense to be taken by you. Are you ok?"

"Yea, I think," Thelin replied with a slight smile as he calmed himself a little, "I've just finished the meeting with Rhodes and he's in the camp of believing I'm not a traitor."

"So?" Scarlet asked already knowing that that was the case.

"So, if people find fault with him trusting me, or our relationship, then he's going to be supporting us and telling them how it is." the Andorian replied with a soft smile.

"So," Scarlet began before considering how to phrase her next sentence, "You ok with going public then?"

"Of course I am," Thelin replied and took her in his arms, kissing her softly on the lips and his antennae narrowed to touch on her forehead.

She blushed, resisting the kiss slightly, mostly out of habit. They were in a crowd and it made her very nervous.

Thelin held her close and smiled kindly at her, he understood why she was pushing him away, despite their new-found freedom, it was still going to take some getting used to, "Well, are you going to get your nose fixed up?"

"My new medical officer fixed it up as best as she could, the rest is up to time to heal," Scarlet began, "I'll just put more makeup on that usual to cover it up." She looked around for a moment seeing a lot of people whispering and she blushed harder, "This is somewhat awkward don't you think?" She asked Thelin looking back up to him, her hands resting on his chest.

"Well, it looks straight, which is always a bonus," Thelin replied with a chuckle as he followed her gaze around the whispering faces, "Awkward, perhaps a little," the Andorian replied before kissing her softly on the forehead, "But let them talk, we have nothing to hide."

"I can think of something I wish to hide, but the chances are, there will never be a time when the crew sees me naked," She chuckled and looked up kissing Thelin passionately before taking his hand and leading him away from the corridor.

The Andorian followed suit and was dragged along the corridor by the young redhead.

Scarlet smiled, "Well, just so you know, I'm quite a private person anyway, but this is somewhat out of my comfort zone," She began and then continued stammering and rambling on, "I'm not saying I'm embarrassed of you or us, I'm just saying that I don't like being in the public eye."

"Well, at least now we know we're not forced to hide it from anyone, whether it be in public or private," Thelin replied with a light chuckle.

"This is true," she smiled and her cheeks began to relax from their blushing state, "What do you want to do? I was going to finish my shift before heading out on this mission, but it's not mandatory."

"I think we can leave that decision up to you, since it is your shift, or would be," the Andorian responded with a cheeky smile, "We'll do whatever you fancy doing."

"Let's get some food then," Scarlet smiled, "Rest my aching face."

"Lead the way then." Thelin replied, interlacing his fingers with hers.
