241407.xx || Dr Rogers & Lieutenant Alyssa Lucas || Medical Supplies Sorted

Mission: Suicidal Running Title

The market was filled with the hustle and bustle of life. Even though they had set perimeters in their mission, there was still an element of freedom. The young doctor had barely spoken to Alyssa since the confrontation and remained focussed at the job at hand. Scarlet didn't regret leaving her weapon on the ship, this place seemed fine enough and with security personnel by her side, she'd be fine. Navigating around the market and picking up a few things for herself on her travels, Scarlet found a building that sold medical supplies. After beckoning Alyssa over she entered the building.

Aly was hanging close, but not to close... after all she needed the chance to see how people interacted with the doctor and to be alert to the whole settings. That and after the earlier confrontation between them she wasn't overly fond of this task as it was. With the motion she headed into the room, a slight frown catching her as she stepped in. The vibe of the room had her brushing a hand against her sidearm absentmindedly, something that she did as more of a reassurance for herself more than anything. "Commander...." She said lowly as greens peered around the place.

"Yes?" Scarlet turned around to look at Aly, "Can we just do the task at hand without you getting trigger happy please."

"I don't think this is the best place for you to find what you are looking for...." Aly said, clearly opting to ignore the trigger happy comment. It was either that or she was about to say something that likely wouldn't have gone over well, and now wasn't the time or place for that conversation.

"It says it's a pharmacy, so I think we'll be fine," Scarlet frowned looking around for a merchant.

Aly gave a little shake of her head, still not thrilled with the place but what could she do or say. Scarlet was currently in control over the situation. "Alright..."

The young doctor soon found a merchant and smiled to him, "Hi, We are in need of some medical supplies, I was wondering if you could help."

The insectoid bowed slightly, "Of course you're in the right place, I will help you straight away, and better than anyone else."

"Thank you," Scarlet smirked at Alyssa in a somewhat 'I told you so manner' before handing over a PADD to the insectoid with a list of things they needed.

Alyssa couldn't help the roll of her eyes with Scarlet's look. Blasted doctor just couldn't seem to get the fact that Security officers tended to be a little over protective and leery of things. Taking a slight learn against the wall, she watched the going one's and waited.

The insectoid scrolled through the PADD before looking back to Scarlet, "We have everything here, I shall check," he began, "We can deliver within a day if this helps?"

Scarlet looked at Alyssa for clarification, "I think that should be ok."

Alyssa gave a slight nod of her head, the sooner they got all this done the better it would be for everyone. and of course the happier she would feel. "That's fine."

"Price?" the doctor asked before telling the salesman how much she actually had.

"For this?" he began mulling it over and stroking his chin, "This is a lot, I will not lie to you, we call it 100,000 pieces."

Scarlet smiled knowing that this was a lot less that her command had anticipated so she knew he was a good guy, "Can you assure me of the quality or I will walk from here to find someone a bit more reliable."

"I can assure you," he looked shocked, "That I have the best products in this quadrant and nothing below the bench mark of perfection."

"I shall leave that for myself and my staff to decide, when the products are indeed received by 0900 tomorrow," Rogers looked stern, "The delivery will be made to the designated location written on the PADD I provided you with the list of items we need, "If they are later than 0900, I will take my business elsewhere and you will give me a full refund or suffer the consequences."

Aly made not to have a few other security officers stationed at the location for the drop off. For some reason there was something about this mess that she wasn't feeling. What it was, she hadn't figured out yet. Shifting slightly in her stance she couldn't help but to ask. "Why so cheap if the stuff is the best?"

"To ensure repeat business," The insectoid tilted his head to the other woman in the room, "I make my money on repeat business."

"But if the stuff is as good as you claim. Would that alone not top the cheapness of the prices?" Alyssa asked, not daring to look at the doctor at the moment. "I'm just asking is all. Quality is the important thing here."

"I can increase the price if it would make you feel more comfortable," he mused.

Scarlet shot a look of daggers at Aly, "Please excuse my colleague, sir, she doesn't have many people skills."

Aly felt the look more than saw it. Though after that comment her own gaze narrowed upon the woman. Shaking her head she shrugged. "No, whatever the doctor wants she can have. No matter what others may think. So you are fine Sir."

"Thank you Lieutenant," Scarlet returned her calm smile to the insectoid, "0900 tomorrow, no later."

"Of course, ma'am," he responded.

Scarlet turned to leave, "You coming Lieutenant?"

"After you.... Commander." She said with an exaggerated sweep of her hand to the door and a slight bow.

Scarlet muttered an insult about Aly being some what of an donkey hybrid before disappearing into the crowd of people in the market without Aly.
