With Lauren being made acting commanding officer of the Fenrir that left Ricky to tie up a few loose ends. Mainly finalizing his divorce and knowing for a fact that the UFP was sending her back to Earth. He knew that the UFP would use her and his son to draw him out but also knew it wouldn't work. Using his codes he set up a complicated communication trail to the Enterprise.

He needed to see a familiar and friendly face and Potter just wasn't cutting that order. And plus she was busy dealing with getting ready for the upcoming battle. So he sat and watched what used to mean a lot him spin as it waited for the other person to connect.

48... 49... 50... She flipped back a moment on the floor and sighed softly as she finished her sit ups. Usually exercises helped her work though some of her frustrations. Today though... Pulled from her thoughts by the sound of her computer going off, Aly got up from the floor and grabbed a towel and a bottle of water.

Moving over to the computer accepted the connection. Seeing who it was she smiled a little, though it likely wasn't enough to cover up much. "Hey... what's up?"

"Just wanted to check in and also let you know this well be my last check in for awhile." Ricky said knowing she knew what that meant. He also needed to fill her in on recent personal developments Aly was the only one he felt like he could talk to about those personal developments.

The perks about their friendship was the fact they could go a while without talking and seem to catch right back up to each other with no problem. That still didn't mean she didn't worry about him, and this time she knew she'd likely worry even more. War was a dangerous thing. "Stay safe." is all she said on that subject as she sat down and took some slow deep breaths before taking another drink. "Anything else? I mean I appreciate you letting me know that. But... "

"I'll try my best. And were you serious about being able to get me onto the Enterprise?" Ricky asked looking intently at Aly.

"As it stands right now, I'm pretty sure. Last I knew the Captain said he trusted my advice about things. So I can talk to him." Of course the way things were going she wasn't so sure how Mark would feel about her in the near future and a fleeting frown touched her features. "I'm sure with your record and all, and my recommendation you would be a big help on the ship."

"My dear have you forgotten that majority of my record is sealed. Even the president of UFP would have difficulty looking at my records." Ricky said with a smirk, "so how is everything going with that doctor lady?"

"I'm sure there is at least something in your records to say who you are." She said with a smirk, one that quickly vanished with the mention of the Doctor and she shook her head.

"I don't know....save for being a know it all commander who think she is better than everyone and has no common since. I am pretty sure she's innocent and shouldn't be in the brig. The problem is, I need to be able to show the Captain this, and instead of helping me do that she...and her best friend and bitch of an intel officer think it's better to keep me out of things." Aly said with a sigh for a breath.

"Making my job harder and giving them and a couple others all the more reason to hate me." It was rare that Aly got this frustrated. Of course usually innocent people did what they could to help prove it.. not block her from proving it.

Ricky sighed looking at her, "who gives a shit who likes you or not. Being a Starfleet officer ain't about popularity contests. And damn right the intel officer is a cocky bitch all of them are. He'll look at me and I'm not even former intel." Ricky said in all seriousness. "Grow some balls and go do your job if this intel officer has information that would exonerate her friend she better damn well use it or end up in the cell next to her."

"You know I could care less about who likes me and who doesn't. I care about keeping the people on this ship safe. Something those two are making hard for me and it's pissing me off. I have the damn balls and you know it." She said as she glared at him before shaking her head as she tried to remind herself he was doing this purposely.

"Anyways... you really want to come to Enterprise?"

"Yeah with the wi.....shit ex-wife and kid going back to Earth I want to be closer." Ricky said looking at Aly allowing the real reason why he wanted to get out of the Gamma quadrant revealed.

Amazingly Aly didn't say anything about his Ex this time. She may not like his wife, but she knew how he felt about his kid. And it was because of that, that she kept quiet and gave a simple nod of her head. He needed her as a friend right now, and that's what she would be. Of course in a way she needed him here with her.. that was if she was still here when he finally made it... something she questioned.

"I'll talk to the Captain... you just better hurry up and get here... safely" She said with a warm smile, something that surprise even her that she could do right now.

Ricky nodded wondering if they would survive this fight seeing as he had used way more than nine lives. "Please don't do anything brash."

She just looked at Ricky with that look, they both knew that was really asking for a miracle. "I'll.... try not to."

Sighing Ricky just nodded, "alright I better get to the bridge. I'll talk with you soon." Ricky said giving Aly a smile. Before closing the link.
