Acting Captain Mark Rhodes called a meeting of the senior staff to take place at 0800. Mark stepped out of his office, crossed the bridge and slipped into the briefing room early.

Karim walked into the room, having given himself the night off. It had been nice to just sleep and not worry about stuff. Taking his seat beside Rhodes, he nodded and said "Good morning Captain."

Nanee was next to arrive remembering how much she dreaded these meetings, but at the same time it felt good to be a member of the senior staff again. "Captain, commander." Nanee said politely as she poured herself some coffee, removed her bag and set it next to her and finally she took a seat. Pulling out her Cpadd and started looking over somethings regarding the death of the two security officers.

Aly was quiet, a bit more than normal as she made her way into the meeting room. Though quietness didn't stop that confident stride of her's as she moved to place her PaDD on the table before sitting down with a nod to the others around them.

Hans walked in and was surprised by the plethora of different types of officers that were in the room with him. He wasn't sure where to stand or sit in the room so just stood there in awe.Hans then glanced around the room and acknowledged everyone with a nod and a greeting.

Last to arrive was Chief Engineer Dorey Dame at about 0805. The Dame entered with Cadet Gordon Jones in tow, seeing as he was her shadow she didn't feel right leaving him to scrub plasma injectors while she went to a meeting. "Sorry we are late Com- Captain," old habits seemed to die hard. The Dame and Gordon took the last 2 empty seats.

Arriving with The Dame, Gordon glanced around the room, he had not had the chance to meet many of the Senior Staff, so he thought this would be a good chance to meet them. He silently took his seat next to the Dame, trying to remain as quiet as he could, as to not disturb anyone.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen," said Mark looking around to his senior staff. "I know we are all busy so I will try to keep this short. As of right now we are en route to here," said Mark pointing to the wall terminal. "This is a small M Class moon in the shadow of this gas giant. From all of the star charts that we have looked at says that this is a very quiet section of space. After the incident on Bimi Station I have decided our best course of action is to lay low and work out some of the kinks we have run into.

"Engineering I want you to work on getting the Aquarius up and running, being this far away from home I want a second craft that can be commanded and we can trust.

"Doctor Quoicho? What information were you able to find when you preformed your autopsy of the security staff killed?"

Clearing her throat Nanee felt a bit embarrassed that her first conclusion wasn't correct. "After further test it's believed that a modified Romulan or Cardassian disruptor pistol is the corrupt." Nanee said clicking a button and brining up the tests, "the weapon was modified to have high frequency but low power, this allows for massive damage to tissue, organs and muscles but doesn't create a exit wound." Moving the slide to show the actual wounds.

"Do we know of anyone around here that uses that style weapon? Are we able to attribute it to that rouge Captain's people?" asked Mark looking to Aly.

That was when Tierney looked up, "I... Believe I can answer that for you, sir."

Hans thought to himself, 'if he knows who,' "with my contacts from my past I think I know where they might have got them from?"

"By all means Commander," said Mark. "Don't let me stop you."

Having been about to respond to the Captain's question to her. She paused hearing the Commander jumped in, though for some reason it hadn't surprised her that the woman would of course have an answer. With a slight shake of her head she looked to Rhodes. "Actually, if I may Sir, as you had been directing the question to me." She said with a slight grit of her teeth as she once more questioned her reasoning for being on this Ship, damn she needed Ricky now more than ever.

"I understand the Commander may know everything." Aly said, throwing the woman's own words back at her. "Logically, from a Security standpoint, there is good reason to believe that they were. A Captain gone Rogue would likely have a fair amount of contacts. Considering the heat that was on the Doctor and Thelin, and the fact that they choice to go against orders and contact Vokar. My thoughts are the man decided to reclaim what was his... no matter what the cost."

Karim sat back in his seat, watching the exchange. It was obvious that there was some tension going on between Rinehart and Lucas, but for the time being, he decided to watch and see where the conversation went. He knew that he would need to speak to both of them following the briefing.

Gordon had been sitting quietly in the room, and was surprised at how much some of the senior staff picked at each other. He was also surprised that some of the senior staff were still sitting back quietly.

With a shake of her head, Commander Rinehart closed her eyes and leaned back in her chair. It was pointless and as such, silence once more became her.

Seeing Rinehart react to Lucas' comments, Karim cleared his throat and said "Lieutenant Lucas, I would suggest you keep your personal feelings about others of the senior staff to yourself. We are alone out here, and working together will be key to our survival. Am I understood?"

Alyssa almost said something about others needing to remember that, though decided to simply shut up and nod with a soft, giving up tone. "Aye, Commander."

Biting back a sigh, Karim turned to Rhodes and said "So if Vokar decided to, shall we say, reclaim his property, there isn't much we can do at the moment to retrieve our missing crew members sir?"

"From where we stand... no," admitted Mark. "Best thing we can do now is find a hole and hide. Its play plan to take some time and get this ship back to full operation status. I want everyone to understand what we are doing and how we go about doing it.

"Engineering, your task is to get the Aquarius up and running.

"Medical, I need a full run down and inventory of what we have in stock. Engineering will work with you to finish any repairs from the Battle of Catalpa Nebula.

"Security, I think enough time has passed since our last talk with the UFP security force, maybe we can get some answers?"

"Science, you will be working with Tactical to scan the immediate area and try to update our star charts. Figure out our next move.

"Intel, you will take that ship of yours and poke your head out. Maybe make a supply run or two, get with The Dame, and see if she needs any extra parts?"

"We will be conducting ship wide drills to keep everyone on their toes. We rushed into Bimi, that is my fault. We rushed and lost 4 officers. We will be prepared next time. We are in the middle of nowhere people. Best we start learning to work with one another," said Mark looking around the room to his staff.

Alyssa listened to the orders and made a few notes on her PaDD of the orders given before responding simply. "Aye Captain, whenever you and Commander Rinehart are ready to speak with them, I'll be ready."

"I'll have that report on your desk on soon as possible." Nanee said looking at the chief security officer and smirking slightly as she reminded her of herself just a few years ago. Picking fights that she could not win, hopefully the young women well learn faster than she did and in a much less painful way.

Gordon had listened to the whole of this conversation, and knew that he was lucky to have a mentor like the Dame, he'd learn a lot from her, especially considering the circumstances.

Karim fought to suppress a grin, he was happy Rhodes had returned the focus on the meeting to getting work done, and not squabbling.

"We all have jobs to be doing and we all had better see to our duties," said Mark standing. "Dismissed." Without skipping a beat he turned and exited the conference room and headed for his Ready Room. If anyone had a problem beyond what just happened, they could take it up with him there. He said all that he needed to say.
