Jackson was looking over a few things for potential publications as much as he loved annoying Nanee she was right if he didn't start publishing the point of him being on the Enterprise would be no more. As he was going through some records he realized that a lot of the older and archaic methods still had there need and yet they get dismissed fairly quickly and officers and doctors that use them spend a lot of time defending that move.

It had been about a week now, and Jon was ready to get out of the silly sling. However, that civilian doctor, Dr. Avery, had put the fear of permanent damage into Jon, so he figured it was best to get looked over and make sure everything was okay before tossing the sling into the replicator to recycle.

"On my way." Jackson said closing the workstation and heading up to the pit to see why he was called. The physician mate pointed to an ensign, "ah ensign Peters what can I do for you?"

"I was hoping you'd give me a clean bill of health so I can recycle this sling," he explained, holding his arm up a little.

Jackson just smiled and nodded, "follow me ensign let's get a quick scan and some quick and fast movement tests done. But I do believe we should be able to recycle that today."

"Good, thank you," Jon said, following the doctor.

"Alright hop up onto the biobed and I'll get the scan going and than we'll do some range of motion tests." Jackson said with a smile nodding for the physician mate to get some things in order.

Jon followed directions and got onto the biobed just as he should, waiting for the scan to start.

The scanner hummed to life Jackson knew it would be a few minuets before anything would pop-up, "so how did some of those other colors work out for you?" Jackson asked deciding to make some idle chit-chat.

"Just went with one option, the grey and black to match the uniform. I thought a gold colored trim to match my department color would be too much," Jon answered with a chuckle. "I was accused of being in mourning for my outfit choices outside of my uniform during the week."

Jackson smirked as he looked over the scans running his finger along some them. "Well everything looks good from these scans. But let's do some range of motion tests." He said walking over and removing the sling, "first one I just want you to move your arm out to the side and straight above your head."

"I'm glad the computer agrees with how I feel," Jon answered as he moved his arm as directed, grinning as his arm came to extend above his head.

Probing the arm slightly, "any pain when moving it?" Jackson asked satisfied that even felt better.

"It feels a little stiff, but nothing hurts," Jon admitted. "That's probably from not moving it much for a week, right?"

"Yes that could be part of it," Jackson said looking over the scans again just making sure he didn't miss anything, "alright well everything looks okay. But here are some exercises I would like you to do to get some of that stiffness worked out."

"Sure thing, Doc," Jon agreed as he noticed a flurry of activity near the main entrance into Sickbay. An Andorian woman in a command red uniform arrived with a red-headed woman in Intel grey. Jon sat up straighter and leaned to try to catch what was going on.

"Don't know but stay here," Jackson said quickly walking out of the room and over to where all the action was going on.

Jon opened his mouth to protest, but Dr Avery was gone before he could object. He followed as far as the door to the exam room to try to listen in and watch. He couldn't help overhearing an exchange about the com system perhaps not relaying a message down to sickbay, and made a mental note to himself to volunteer to look into it.

Jackson stood out of the way for a few more seconds before realizing that Nanee had everything under control. He walked back into the room, "looks like it's all under control." Jackson said with a nod, "anyways here's the exercises I would like you to do to loosen that arm up."

"What's wrong with her? That's the chief intel, right? Ridehard or something?" Jon asked, accepting the PADD with the exercises on it without really looking at it.

"I think so; truth be told don't know many of the crew, and I couldn't tell you what's wrong with her even if I knew. Doctor Patient Confidentiality." Jackson said looking back out into the Pit.

"Oh, well, I guess that makes sense. I hope she'll be okay," Jon returned, and turned his attention to the PADD in hand. "Anything I should pay extra care to with these exercises, or are they pretty straight forward?"

"Nope they're pretty straight forwarded, but do not push it if you feel like you're straining stop. And make sure to alternate ice and heat after exercises." Jackson added.

"You got it, Doc," Jon insisted. "How long should I do them?"

"Let's go for a week and let's see how it's feeling. Also these are good exercises to just to to keep those joints and muscles loose." Jackson added.

"If I like them, they'll end up in my morning routine. So I'll see you again in a week, thanks doc." Jon grinned and offered his hand out to shake.

Taking his hand Jackson gave it a firm handshake, "your welcome." And with that Jackson finished filling out the chart and orders before submitting it and heading to the nurses station.

Jon headed out, intending to collect help down in engineering to look into the comsystem. He stole a glance at the Andorian woman who'd said something in the first place, noting she was a Lieutenant. That would make it easier to find her again if he needed a report to support the issue.
