Mission: Holy Cow

A voice spoke, filling the space around it suddenly "Explain the presence of this mechanical object. We do not like it, it is not part of the sample." Another voice responded "The object is identified as the USS Enterprise. It is an unknown object. It contains many diverse elements that may add to the experiment." The first voice replied "Agreed. Assign it to be observed and monitored. If it affects the stability of the experiment, remove it. We do not want the research tainted." The second voice replied "Understood. Assigned and beginning categorization."

The first voice let out a sound that could have been thought of as a laugh, and said "We think this USS Enterprise will be an interesting, if unexpected element to the experiment. We do grow tired of how slow the samples are showing progress. Prepare simulations of how to accelerate the research." The second voice paused mid-response, not knowing what to say. After a moment it said "Accelerating the research may produce unexpected results and loss of important elements." The first voice calmly replied "We must insist that you follow our orders or you will be eliminated." It then turned its attention to the display in front of it and began absorbing the knowledge of the rouge element. It believed it would an amusing distraction from a routine experiment.
