= Shuttle Hera =

The endo/exo-atmospheric shuttle Hera was piloted by a young ensign by the name of Stahma sh'Chavah she had just completed her academy training. Stahma's flight training wasn't learned from the academy she learned that from a early age on Andoria. As she was making her way to her first assignment; on the USS Enterprise, she was attacked by Syndicate raiders luckily her shuttle had a special burst drive allowing her to make a quick escape.

But the burst put her dangerously close the gravitational pull of a planet; which happened to be the planet that the Enterprise was heading to, but with some quick thinking and finagling she was able to get out of Nirua's gravitational pull.

= Enterprise =

"This is Acting Executive Officer Adrianna Hunter of the USS Enterprise. May I ask who you are and your business in this area?" it was more of a statement than request, as the woman sat up in her hair, looking to the screen, on the bridge.

"Ensign Stahma sh'Chavah." The Aenar said as her hands gracefully slid over the console sending over her IFF and orders, "I've been assigned to the USS Enterprise as her new counselor." She added looking up at the screen and adjusting her course but not actually sending the info.

"Send me through the details, Ensign," Adrianna replied easing a little before waving off, subtly, to a few members of crew, to keep them on hold.

"I just did commander." The ensign said in a sing songy voice as she double checked the console to make sure they were sent through.

Adrianna sighed and waited a moment before they actually showed up. The woman read through it carefully, "Alright, permission granted to come aboard. I'll have them guide you in."

"Thank you commander." Letting the Enterprise to bring in her little shuttle in while this was going on Stahma closed her eyes working on putting her barriers. Heading to a new place always meant her barriers were assaulted with new things and if she didn't do this she would be in a world of hurt.

Hunter had left the counsellor in capable hands, and would meet with her to welcome her aboard soon.

As the Hera was safetly docked and tucked away in one of the Enterprise's shuttle bays. Stahma was led up to the bridge to meet this lieutenant commander Hunter. "Commander Hunter ensign sh'Chavah reporting for duty."

The woman stood up and made her leave. She offered her hand out, "Ensign Sh'Chavah, let's go to the office."

Nodding the ensign followed the commander picking up mixed emotions coming off her aurora's. But she waited patiently to be spoken to and most likely brefied on current events.

Sitting down, the Acting Executive officer gestured for the counsellor to sit down, "I'm sorry for such a cold welcome. We have had quite dramatic happenings in recent days. Please, take none of it personally, and I would like to, personally, welcome you aboard."

Stahma just nodded as she took a seat she was young but her extraordinary abilities allowed her to sense other things that most people couldn't. "It's quiet alright commander things happen. May I ask what is happening?"

Adrianna pulled up Stahma's file just to make sure she knew what information she could and couldn't disclose. After a short moment she replied, "In recent times, an away mission has ended in some significant casualties. We are investigating further. We need to protect those who have asked for our help, but also keep the crew safe. I'm sure you understand why slight paranoia seemed to take over your warm welcome at first."

Stahma took a second to respond picking up on some other things but kept them to herself. "I can understand needing to keep the crew safe as well as keeping anyone who asks for it to stay safe. May I ask what the plan is to help these people you're concerned about?"

"Still to be determined," it was a simple reply, but it was an honest one. She needed to talk to the captain. Of course Adrianna had ideas, but she needed the time to discuss them first.

Noticing that the captain was no where to be seen on the bridge and the executive officer was meeting with her meant one of two things. The captain was injured or down on the planet, "I'm assuming you're planning on going down to the planet to help keep the crew and their people safe?"

"Oh, of course," Adrianna sat up a bit more, "I just haven't had a chance with the captain yet. He's only just returned from the ground."

Stahma lips curled into a smirk sensing something amiss but decided to play along with the story. "According to my scans before I was brought onto the ship I picked up a large explosion."

"That there was," Adrianna confirmed, but left it at that. Being ex security, shrinks were not her idea of fun, "I think you may expect some people with PTSD and I think we should get to the ground as there will be many people, not only our crew, who will need the counselling."

Stahma left the first statement go not completely understanding, "and this is where I come in?"

"Well unless you can think of anything better to do with your given profession?" Adrianna joked a little.

"Fair enough. What do you have on these people?" Stahma asked knowing that she would be dealing with a species she's never had contact with.

"I'm afraid, not much," Hunter got up the information they had on the race and turned the screen to face the counsellor, "Primitive, bovine, tribal. Nothing much. We need to learn. That's one of the reasons the original away mission was sent. To learn about this race."

Bovine? Interesting, "Knowing they're tribal is very helpful. I'm assuming you've ran scans of the planet have you picked up any living areas?"

"Obviously," Adrianna was almost offended, "Everything will be available to you that is on a need to know basis for your profession."

"The more I know the more I can help." Was all that Stahma said seeing several new colors pop up in the commander's aurora's.

= Runabout Lovelace =

Karim stretched as he sat in one of the pilots chairs on the Lovelace. He hadn't come back to the ship after being patched up by Quoicho, as he was working on setting up the command post. He'd received notice about the new counselor coming aboard and opened a comm channel. "Dhej to Hunter and sh'Chavah, can you please patch me through to the viewscreen in the ready room."

Stahma closed her eyes tholepin balance herself out allowing the commander to answer the call. After a few seconds she opened her eyes again and smiled at the commander.

Hunter did as commanded and smiled, "Captain, it's good to see you alive."

Smiling slightly, he replied "I'm a bit bruised and banged up, but otherwise doing ok." Turning his attention to sh'Chavah, he said "I'm sorry I'm not there to meet you Ensign sh'Chavah, but the situation down here is a bit ...dynamic at the moment."

"It's quite all right commander Dhej I'm sure we'll have time to speak later." Stahma said giving a slight nod to the commander.

Nodding, he said "Thank you Ensign. I look forward to it."

Adrianna smiled and stood up.

Karim cleared his throat, which was still a bit raw from all of the smoke, and said "Before I forget Commander, I'd like you to bring Ensign Gordon Jones from Engineering with you on the runabout when you come down. I would like his input on something I'm considering working on with the Nirua."

"Yes, sir," Adrianna accepted before turning the conversation, "Also, sir, when you have a moment I would like to discuss the events that have just occurred when you were on the ground."

Nodding, he said "That is what I had in mind as well. Once you and your team arrive, we need to have a conversation about where to go from here. We need to decide how we are going to offer our help to the Nirua in light of this recent development."

"I think we need to talk before we go about my research, sir."

Looking at her with confusion, he said "Speak freely Commander, I don't think there would be anything that can't be said in front of Ensign sh'Chavah."

Shifting a little uncomfortably, Adrian finally relaxed and spoke, "Sir, the weapons they used for the attack, were not their biggest. It seems to me that if they wanted to kill us off, or them off, they would have. I think it was all a show but we should proceed with caution."

Nodding, he said "I agree Commander. Please ensure the runabout is outfitted with phaser rifles and extra charged phasers. I want to be prepared for anything. "

"Actually, I'd like to question why they didn't just kill us or the mother. Maybe those who attacked us pose no real, immediate threat as such to the 'mother'?

"Sorry to interrupt but if I could get any and all information on these people I believe I could be of great use to helping determine why or why not there wasn't more death with the explosion." Stahma said looking at the commanding officer.

Thinking for a moment, Karim replied "I disagree about these rebels not posing a threat. They could've just been doing what you said however, showing off to prove they are strong." Shifting to sh'Chavah, he said "Of course Ensign, I'll have it forwarded to you immediately." Tapping a few commands, he said "There you go. Also, am I right in assuming you have some basic training in emergency medicine?"

"Very very basic but I'll assume that'll be just enough to provide help to Lieutenant Quoicho." Stahma said looking at her CPaDD as she saw the data transfer come through.

Nodding, he said "Anything will help at this point. Was there anything else we need to go over before I let you two collect Ensign Jones and come down?"

Stahma just shook her head looking up quickly before looking back at her CPaDD and going over the information that was just given to her. "Actually I'll need to stop by sickbay and pick up a med kit."

"No problem Ensign." he replied "And you Commander?"

"I need to run to my quarters a moment, but then I will be ready to leave with in the hour?" she almost questioned to make sure that was ok.

"That's perfectly fine Commander. I look forward to seeing the three of you very soon. Dhej out."
