Nanee was able to get a few hours of sleep on the couch in her office in sickbay which unfortunately made her look like hell. Sighing when she heard her chime go off, "enter!" She yelled as she pushed herself up into a sitting position as she rubbed her eyes.

Stahma walking into the office, "morning lieutenant I'm glad it looked like you got some rest." The Aenar said walking over to the replicator and ordering some Drava tea Nanee's favorite and just the way she likes it. "The commander is back on Enterprise and I sent him a message suggesting he should come in for a post-checkup as well as a briefing." Nanee too the tea and took several sips not exactly liking how efficient she was but also very glad.

"Has the commander arrived yet?" Nanee asked looking at Stahma as she transferred the contents into a travel mug and headed for the door.

"Yes he's in bay 3 waiting for you he also asked me to come along." Stahma said taking the cup and re-repicating it so that the materials could be used again. Nanee nodded and headed for bay 3 with the counselor in tow.

"Commander Dhej glad to see that you've came to senses and came back to the ship." Nanee said looking at the commander, "how is the arm and ribs?"

Smiling slightly, he said "They are a bit sore, but better. Thank you again for your help down there. I hope I wasn't too much of a trouble."

Taking a deep breath Nanee looked at him, "You should've never been down there in the first place." Nanee said taking another scan of his ribs and arm, "but that's neither here or there. I'm just glad that you weren't seriously hurt." Stahma viewed the interaction between what in her opinion was the most stressful relationship of CO and CMO.

Nodding, he said "I know doctor. Trust me, I've heard that admonishment many times." Turning to sh'Chavah he added "It's nice to meet you in person Ensign. I trust you've settled in?"

"You as well commander and yes I'm slowly working to get settled in. I've been mainly going over the crews records. It appears majority of them haven't had a routine psych eval may I suggest that you make that a priority once we're done dealing with the.....my apologies the species name escapes me." Stahma said looking in the direction of the commander.

Nodding, he replied "I will certainly make that a priority once we are done assisting the Nirua." Wincing as he felt a pain in his ribs, he said "Sorry lieutenant. I guess the soreness is worse then I thought."

Walking over to the cupboard she pulled out a bag of herbs. "I want you to put a teaspoon into your tea twice a day the takaria herbs are used as an anti-inflammatory. Use them until your ribs are no longer sore it'll also help with the soreness in your arm as well."

Smiling, he took the small bag and replied "Thank you doctor. I'm surprised you've used herbs instead of a hypospray."

"For things like inflammation the old ways seem to work better. Than using drugs just 'cause we're in the future everything can't be solved by miracle drugs. I'm sure the ensign can contest with that." Nanee said looking at the Aenar.

"I do agree with the lieutenant on that fact. Which is why my rate of dispensing narcotics to help treat non-physical wounds is very very low. I rather talk and help people through what is troubling them instead of medicating which majority of time can lead to self-medicating which doesn't help anyone."

Smiling, Karim replied "Well regardless of your reasoning, it is nice to know I have two officers who are concerned about my well being. I appreciate it very much."

Stahma returned the smile and gave a polite nod as for Nanee she just started putting things away working as hard as she could keep herself together. "Commander is there anything else that needs to be discussed or anything else you need looked at?"

Shaking his head, Karim replied, "Not that I can think of. I'm sure doctor Avery will let you know if he needs your assistance planetside."

Nanee nodded forgetting that he went down there. "Good as you can see the good chief still needs to get caught up on her rest. It was a pleasure meeting with you commander if you need anything please don't hesitate to find me." Stahma added finding it a bit bizarre that Nanee was allowing this motherly treatment from her.

Nodding, Karim replied "You as well Lieutenant." Nodding to Quoicho, he said "I'll see you soon Doctor. As Ensign sh'Chavah suggested, I would get some sleep. I'm planning on doing so myself as soon as we're done." With a smile, he left Sickbay, en route to his quarters.
