Karim stood and stretched as he saw the ship was moving closer to Cold Station Theta. He was happy to be able to give the crew some time off, and looked forward to taking sometime himself. Walking out onto the bridge he nodded to Hunter as he took over the command chair. Smiling he said "ETA to Cold Station Theta Commander?"
"About 6 hours, sir," she replied, "You excited to be getting some R and R?"
Nodding, he said "Very much so Commander. It'll be nice to stretch my legs, even if it is on a station and not a planet." Pausing, he said "Do you have any plans once we arrive?"
"I don't know," she shrugged a little staring out to the station on the screen, "I have mixed feelings about R and R. This is my first place I've been to since my maternity leave and kind of want to stay in action, if you now what I mean. It will be nice though to spend some quality time with Matthias."
Smiling, he said "I think I'm looking forward to just taking some downtime. With everything that has happened, it'll be nice to not have some quiet time by myself."
She smiled, "I don't like being alone. My ex husband almost bought me a puppy when I first went off on maternity leave because of how much I hated being alone."
Nodding, Karim replied "Maybe sometime we can enjoy a holodeck program with your son. It would be nice to spend some time with you both. He seems like a great kid."
"He's alright the cheeky little thing. He's quite quiet though. He'll be fine. I think it would be nice to take him to a park or something sometime. He's never been," she agreed.
Smiling, Karim replied "I'd like that, I may have a couple of ideas about places he can visit."

Karim walked out from the ready room after receiving notification of their approach to the station. Sitting, he said "OPs, open a channel to the station." After receiving a nod of acknowledgement he said "Enterprise to Cold Station Theta. I am Captain Karim Dhej. I've received orders from Admiral Alexander Hark to dock with your station to commence repairs to my ship and restocking of supplies. I've also been cleared to allow my crew to have shoreleave. May we have permission to dock?"
"Aye, Captain Dhej," came the reply.
"You are two minutes away from propping your feet up," Adrian said to Dhej.
Nodding, he replied "I look forward to it Commander." Moments later he received notification that they had docked at the station. Tapping his combadge he said "Dhej to all hands. Please submit your repair requests, and restocking requests to the station's operations manager. Once they are submitted, please report to your department head regarding shoreleave aboard the station. Dhej out." Turning back to Hunter he said "You have the bridge Commander. Please ensure all reports and requests are filed before approving any shoreleave. After they are all submitted, consider yourself on shoreleave as well." Standing, he moved towards the turbolift, and on to his quarters.
"Aye, sir," she replied readying herself. As soon as the captain left she said to those remaining, "Let's hope that happens soon so we can all get a break, right?"
