SD241510.11 || Personal Log || Lt Kerenal, COps || "The heat of the day, the cooling breeze."

Mission: Agua Mala
Location: Private guest quarters, Apsha

There are some things in life that can start to drag when you're exposed to them too much, the weather of Apsha was becoming one of those things, Kerenal was hunkered down in his room, the cooling air conditioning running over his bare torso as he sat at the desk and worked on identifying whatever might have given Tierney such a... difficult reaction and left very little trace, it was frustrating for the El-Aurian that in all of his years, he had never encountered something like this.

That was somewhat of a lie to himself, he had encountered a few substances that could have similar effects but never administered while in the presence of the ruler of a system, it was something that had occasionally been used to remove people in her position, never anyone whom had been invited to a private meeting with a ruler.

Standing and stretching slightly only proved to accentuate the fact that his choice of location was the best choice, the cool air sent a shiver down Kerenal's spine as he made his way over to the bar and poured himself a glass of icy cold water, he had to hand it to the Empress, her people sure did know how to keep visitors comfortable.

Taking a few refreshing sips of the water as he moved, the El-Aurian moved back to his desk and instinctively put his hand back down on the padd he'd set up as a terminal, his link to the Enterprise and his own ship were still strong and uninterrupted, despite the protests of the Stenellis' security officers about their own systems installed into every room.

Standard reports from all stations flooded down to the small device, his desk was going to be busy when he found himself rotated back on to active duty in the next few hours, the paperwork of the Chief of Operations included items from every department on the ship, everything had to be filed correctly and if something was amiss, it was his head that would be first on the block.

Also coming across his desk were reports from the science officers about the various flora and fauna to be found on the planet, it was merely curious reading from his point of view but it also served to give him a base for further investigations into what might have caused Tierney's severe reaction, it was something they wanted to work out and fast, ideally before anything else happened. Thumbing through the reports was starting to give him a headache so it was shut off for now and another trip to the beach was pushed to the fore of his mind, the water was calling to him and it would help to keep him cool in the tropical heat that seemed to surround them.
