Aly was looking at the padd as she strolled through the halls. She'd made a checklist of things do to and had just marked off checking in on Chief Petty officer Vazquez. Following Commander.... Whatever his name was. That brought her to pause in midstride... What was his name again? Not knowing what the first officer's name was probably wasn't a good thing. Names was the one area she sucked in, though she would recognize him in a heartbeat of course.

Taking the turbolift, she headed up to the bridge, having managed to learn this path well enough already that she didn't have to stop reading the PaDD that was in front of her. Only as she reached the bridge did she peek around a moment.

Eric was sitting in the center seat, mostly just trying it out. It was a brand new chair, and the problem with a brand new chair was that it was stiff and unused. It would take a while to get used to it, so he just sat there, reading a PADD. He was minding his own business, as junior personnel moved about with purpose on the bridge - checking stations and performing diagnostics and all the millions of things that had to be done prior to departure.

With silent ease she made over to the security station, speaking softly to the junior grade Lieutenant. She verified his name on her Padd before introducing herself to him. Smiling, she took a second to peer around the rest of the area's before her gaze landed upon the man in the Captains chair. With a nibble on her lower lip a moment she piped up. "Any idea's of how soon we will be departing, Captain?"

Eric turned on his chair to look up at the security station aft. "0900 tomorrow, Lieutenant...?"

"Lieutenant Alyssa Lucas... your Chief of Security, Sir." Well, this wasn't the most proper way to introduce yourself to one's Captain, but she really hadn't expected to see him on the bridge yet.

"Ah, yes." He said, still getting to know who his senior staff was. "Anything to report?"

"I've spoken with the Master of Arms to make sure that everything that was supposed to be on the ship is. Chief Petty Officer Vazquez assured me that it was. Even went over the checklist with me. I have that if you wish to verify Sir." A hand moved to that PaDD in case he wanted it. "We are still missing a couple of Security officers that have yet to board the ship."

"But in terms of material and equipment, we have enough phasers and rifles?" He asked. "And the brig works?"

"We have the weapons that we are supposed to have. I have one of the holding cells marked not to use yet. I'm waiting for someone in Operations to fix the force field. Other than that, everything else seems to be working there. That's why I came up here, wanted to make sure things where good on this part." Aly said without even looking at her PaDD, she knew her stuff well enough to be able to ramble off the report freely.

"Very well, you seem to be on top of everything." Eric smiled. "Carry on, Lieutenant." With that, he turned back on his chair to sit facing forwards, and reading his PADD.

"Aye Captain." She said with a smile as she went back to what she was doing. After all, she still had a list of things do to, and only a bit of time to get it all done in. Though knowing the departing time would help with things now.
