Joint Log | CSec & CMO | Dr Rogers & Lt Alyssa Lucas ¦¦ 5 Minutes Out Of A Year

Posted on 241403.04 @ 6:01pm by Lieutenant Scarlet Rogers MD & Lieutenant Alyssa Lucas

Mission: Where no man has gone before.

Doctor Rogers was nearing the end of her list of people who needed medicals. She hopped up on a bio bed and sat at the end of it with her feet dangling down. She watched her staff pleasantly working and smiled.

Aly hadn't stopped by her office as of late to catch any messages. Instead, she was busy in the shooting area with a couple other officers. Each of the phasers would need to be checked to make sure they worked properly, after all, the last thing they needed was one discharging on them and someone getting injured. They already had a couple set aside with obvious issues to them.

"Ma'am, your computer is going off with some message alert." Came the sound of one of her officers, who she'd yet to learn the name of.

"If it's not a high alert message, then they can wait." Aly replied, forgetting about most other things when she was focused on her work. Of course the officer shrugged and moved on about his way. It hadn't been a high alert and didn't figure anymore needed to be said.

Scarlet tapped her Command badge to speak to the last remaining few who needed their medicals, and Aly was first on her list.

Hearing her badge go off, Aly muttered a few choice words under her breath. Why did people always want to bother her when she was busy working? Then again, she tended to be busy working more often than not when she could help it. "Lieutenant Lucas here" She said after the quick tap of her badge before both hands were busy holding a phaser up to check it over.

"This is Doctor Rogers, you're due for your medical," she said sternly.

She started to say that the medical would have to wait, but then she remembered that the blasted doctor was higher in rank than she was. That likely wouldn't go over well, the last thing she needed was to piss people off. "On my way." Lucas replied before handing the weapon over to the officer working with her.

"Finish this up, I'll be back." With that, she turned and took off at a steady jog to sickbay. Sooner she got there, the sooner she could get it over with.

Scarlet caught sight of Aly running into the medbay and instantly knew she would be just as awkward as the captain, "Lieutenant Lucas?" Scarlet questioned.

Skidding to a stop as she reached sickbay and heard the other woman she murmured. "That would be me Doc.... Err... Doctor."

"Ah, good," the doctor smiled and jumped off the biobed and patted it.

Sighing softly she moved and slid up on the biobed and looked at the doctor. "This won't take long, will it? I have a bunch of things still to do."

"As do we all," Scarlet frowned, "It will take as long as it takes." The young doctor was starting to get pieved at the amount of people with this attitude

Alyssa sighed, hearing the Doctor and nodded. "Alright, lets get this over with." Aly said as she settled in to try and make this as painless as possible for both of them.

"It doesn't hurt you know, cheer up. I'm starting to get sick of people who can't spend 5 minutes with me to make sure they are good for a year," she scowled, "5 minutes out of 365 and a quarter days," she muttered.

Aly looked to the doctor a moment and gave her a slightly sheepish look. "Sorry Doc, I've always had a thing against being down here. If I'm not bleeding or dying, I don't need a doctor, at least that's always been my motto." She said with a smile. "You had it easy... usually I find a way to put off the inevitable till this is forced on me."

"Same as I said to the captain, I have no issue in dragging people through the corridors to this medical bay if need be. I glad you came willingly," she smirked a little.

Aly chuckled hearing that and gave a slight nod of her head. "I'll remember that and try to make sure I come willingly. Not a big fan of being dragged down the hall. And I'll try not to be such a pain from now on."

"Good," she chuckled, "Well, you look fine to me, unless there's something you want to tell me anything."

"Nope, I think everything you need to know you will find in my file. I try to stay pretty healthy, wouldn't do to have a Security officer that wasn't." She said with a smile.

"In that case," she nodded, "You may get back to avoiding me unless you're bleeding or dying."
