Mission: Reconstruction and Refocus

Captain Rozen Coo paced the desk in front of the Captains chair on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. He had put out a final call to departments for the designation of 'Ready to Launch.' While the call only went out 10 min ago, Rozen was still antsy to get underway.

The turbolift hissed lightly as it opened and the round face Yeoman Solverson stepped onto the bridge and made her way to Rozen, with a padd in hand.

"Medical reports ready for launch," said Solverson as she handed Rozen the padd.

"Fantastic, thank you Yeoman," said Rozen quickly looking over the padd. Rozen spun on his heels to face the main viewscreen.

"All decks, this is Captain Coo," called out Rozen opening a shipwide channel. "Ladies and gentlemen, I understand, for most of you this is not the first time you have left for destinations unknown on a starship. This is nothing new to most of us, but I do want to take a moment of time to reflect on how special this moment is.

"There have been many moments we have all watched passed through time, but this one is different. The difference is that in this moment, we all share it. We all come from vastly unique places, but here we share the journey," he paused a moment for dramatic effect. "All hands, prepare for immediate departure."

The channel was terminated and Rozen took a seat in the Captain's chair. He called out, "Helm, thrusters."

"Aye sir," called back the Helmsmen. "Moorings retracted, Captain. Dock control reports ready. Thrusters, fired. Separating from Dry Dock. Disengaging the external inertial dampeners." Rozen was impressed with the skill and precision the Helmsmen danced her fingers over the control panel.

A moment or two passed in silence, "The ship has cleared Dry Dock, Captain. Ready for warp."

"Lay in a course to Jupiter, Warp 2. Once we have cleared the system, spin up the Jump Drive, plot a course for Outpost 1138, Gamma Quadrant," ordered Coo.

Another moment or two passed as the Helmsmen prepared the course, "Course laid in."

Rozen rose out of his chair, "Engage," he signaled a relief officer to come take watch. A moment or two later the red clad officer was on the bridge and nodded to the Captain. "You have the Conn."

Rozen stepped off the bridge and into his office. The Enterprise was officially underway.
