Mission: Reconstruction and Refocus
Location: Various locations

.:// Infirmary //:.

Jennell was sitting at the desk in the sickbay office, catching up on some of the medical reports. She was filling in for the chief medical officer, who was currently out of action after a fall. The first person on her schedule today was one Maria Lionza, an ensign from the science department. She was coming in today for her start of mission physical. She was the first of many she would see today for the same thing. The time was 0945, and she was expecting the Ensign in at 0950. Only time would tell if they turned up on time.

.:// Hydroponics Bay //:.

Maria didn't mind going to see a doctor it was an annoyance that took her away from what she was working on as well yet another chance for her to get caught with the drugs in her system. Sighing as she looked at the chronometer on the wall. "Specialist I'll be back in an hour. Get another set of readings on the water and soil." The specialist nodded watching the ensign turn and leave the bay.

.:// Infirmary //:.

Walking into the infirmary about 10 to 15 minuets late. "I am here for my physical." Maria said realizing that her tunic was still in the hydroponics bay. Her hands and arms were covered with soil and plant matter.

Jennell heard the person walk through the door and walked out. "Ah, you must be Ensign Lionza, yes?" She asked. "You're late ensign." She commented, leading the way to one of the treatment bays. "This way, take a seat on the biobed." She said, walking in.

Shrugging, ".....got caught up in my work." Maria said finding it a bit frustrating that every transfer apparently required a new physical even if one was done just a few weeks ago.

"Look, I know it's frustrating this whole physical after physical thing, but it's the rules, and if I don't abide by them then I get in trouble for it. So, please, work with me on this." She said, noticing the look on the ensign face. "So anything new since your last physical?" She asked, smiling.

She hadn't had a hit of 'Jakk' in about 72 hours and between meeting her new boss along with dealing with the unpleasant being that was her dealer and as mundane as the physical was it was just one more annoyance. "No. Err well......this," Maria said lifting her shirt up and showing the doctor a pretty nasty looking scar on her right side.

"Ouch...." Jennell said, inspecting the wound closely. "And how did you get that may I ask?" She queried, wanting to get the full history of the injury, before offering any treatment.

"A feral Targ. Was doing some survey work on a shared Federation/Klingon planet when I was gorged." Maria said looking at the scar. ".....it did puncture my lung so my oxygen levels aren't the same either."

Jennell nodded thoughtfully. "Well, we do have some options. We could clean it up for you, get rid of the scarring. Alternatively we just leave it and see how it goes. It's upto you." She said, taking out her medical tricorder and doing a scan.

"Leave it. It's how I get lovers into my bed. Scars on boys are hot but on women they are sexy." Maria said giving the doc a wink.

"If you say so." Jennell said. "Hmmmmm your blood pressures slightly increased, as is your heart rate, but that could just be normal for you. Have you ever had any issues with either before?" Jennell asked, looking through the scan results.

"No not that I am aware but then again I don't have access to my own medical logs." Maria said truth be told she didn't care. "....but no I have not been feeling any of those symptoms."

"Ok, well we'll keep an eye on that. Apart from that your scans check out fine, if you have any issues at all just come back and see us and we can have a look, see what we can do for you." Jennell said, smiling at the ensign.

Maria lowered her standard issue grey tank as she slipped off the bed. "Yeah....okay." Maria said picking up her satchel and slipping it over her head. "Thanks." And with that the women walked out of the treatment room and out of the infirmary.

"You're welcome...." Jennell said quietly to herself. She hoped the rest of the crew were more accommodating.
