Duty Log-Lt Shakkar Jontar- "Finally sinks in"

Timeline: 241710.20 0855

Shakkar watched as Commander Williams left. As soon as the they doors swished closed the weight of what had just happened hit him like a ton of bricks. The Bajoran clearly wasn't expecting that particular outcome. He rubbed his collar in restrained glee. The last thing he wanted to do was freak out his young receptionist. "Full Lieutenant, wow!" he said to himself, partially deflated because he still had to clear the pads from his desk, He couldn't let that bum him out too much, seeing as they were alrady there in the first place.

His eyes were straiing him a little bit. He took his glasses off and rubbed them, which seemed to help. "Still gotta get used to these things." he said, picking a padd up at random. "Lets see here." he said, beginning to read. "Computer, Hot chocolate with mint." He spun around and picked up the drink as it materialized and spun right back, never missing a word of the report in hand.

Nodding as he read all he could say is "uh huh" repeatedly. "Good disciplinary report, bright crewman but lately has been "down"" he said to himself. In keeping with what the CO had just said Shakkar figured that this was a logical place to begin. "Petty Officer Kira Yagami huh? Pretty name." He activated his desk console, instructing his receptionist in the outer office to schedule a sit down with the aforementioned PO.

"Good. One down." he said. However in his renewed zeal he couldn't shake the feeling he had forgotten something. He started to get ou to his adjoining washroom just to spash water on his face when he noticed it. He facepalmed. He splashed the water but immediately returned to his replicator and switched out his hollow pip for a solid one. "That should do it." he said. Just then his comm activated.

"Sir PO Yagami is down for 1400." the woman in the outer office said

"Good." Shakkar said.
