PLOT LOG - CO - Capt Coo - "We're here..."

Posted on 241711.15 @ 11:56am by Captain Rozen Coo PhD

Mission: Reconstruction and Refocus

=*=Bridge=*=

Captain Rozen Coo sat on the bridge of the Enterprise as it bob and weaved through the La-Naton. Rozen decided to take the bridge until they arrived so he could see it first hand himself.

Silence had befallen the bridge for a number of hours as the crew focused on their specific duties. Rozen sat in the Captains Chair and read over the notes from the Science and Engineering departments about the modifications to the ships systems after his meeting with Science. To an outsider reading the report it was standard, to Rozen he could pick up on the subtle undertones of a disgruntled Science Officer, or two and a Engineer.

There was nothing Rozen could do, certain things were kept by fleet. A lot of information was not passed down in the chain of command, Rozen too was caught in the middle at times of not knowing everything he could or should.

Rozen tossed the PaDD down on the empty XO's chair and shifted his position in the chair. Suddenly the silence was broken.

"Sir," called out the young Ops officer at her terminal. "We are within 100,000 km of the source of the signal."

"Understood," replied Rozen standing up. Rozen looked that the main view screen, it was a swirl of color, deep blues and teal mixed with orange. It would be beautiful, if it wasn't a mix of toxic and caustic gasses.

The ship rocked slightly, Rozen shifted his stance to balance himself. "Source of the signal is straight ahead..." the Ops officer said looking up to the screen of mixed color.

Rozen moved forward and put a hand on the chair of the Ops officer. They both looked into the color swirl. Rozen noticed what looked almost like a smudge in the distance. "Magnify visual sector 218..." the officers finger danced on the terminal and what looked like a planet came into view. "There it is, plot a course and bring us into a standard orbit..."

Rozen moved back and took his seat as the two officers seated in front of him did their work. Within a few moments a planet, dubbed T-187 came into full, unmagnified, view. "Standard orbit achieved sir," called out the Helmsman.

"Sir, we can confirm the primary signal originates on the planet, however there is another signal in the area. Something in orbit... We didn't notice it until we came within 40,000km of the planet."

"Set an intercept course..." replied Rozen. Within a few moments the Enterprise moved around the planet and something Rozen never thought he would see came into view, a ship.

He looked at the data from his PaDD, no life signs, very low power signatures from a small solar panel array, old technology by Federation standards.

Rozen stood up again looking at the ship that came into on the main view screen... He could not believe his eyes, plastered right down the side of the ship was the name: SS Sequoia.

"Forward this information to the Chief Science Officer," instructed Rozen. He sent a message to some of his senior staff calling them to the bridge. Now that they knew where the source of the signal was coming from, and the SS Sequoia is intact, it was time to get some answers.
